We’ve been dating a few months and my boyfriend lied to me about having an std. (HPV). He said he was ashamed and didn’t want anyone to ever know. I had asked him because I saw his treatment and he denied. Then I told him I saw it and he got upset. I’m really upset because he lied to me. He also has been talking to another girl he tried to sleep with last year. I confronted him and he said he was just replying to her. Then deleted her. This hurts me because he told me I can’t talk to any other males. So I’m just feeling super down right now.

He has already shown he is willing to lie about something that effects your entire life, he is willing to lie about trying to fuck another woman, he is willing to restrict who you can talk to. Here is the approximate of what follows this. He will begin to restrict WHAT you can do, he will begin calling you constantly anytime he can't see you if you don't answer you will see extreme anger, once you are accustomed to that he will likely begin beating the shit out of you. Actually you’re right. He has been calling me. Tonight I came to his house, made him and his friends dinner, they were all drinking. He’s an alcoholic who said he was trying to fix his problems. He stumbled so I told him to drink water. I put the water bottle to his mouth (has a squirt cap) then he took it and sprayed me in the face. He went to bed now and is sleeping and I’ve been crying for like 2 hours now. When I told him to never call me over when he’s drinking, he got mad. He said if I’m such a bad person you should leave me and find someone better.
I’m so stupid. I did everything he asked me to, helped him financially, tried to be a positive in his life and he doesn’t seem to care. There’s so much more too. I knew I should have left months ago but I always found a redeeming quality.

And you always will because deep down he isn't a horrible person but he is not ready for a relationship and he needs to sort himself out first. He needs to stop drinking, he needs to stop being controlling, he needs to respect the people in his life especially his girlfriend/wife. Given his current approach to life he is sending himself to homelessness/poverty and dragging you with him. It will hurt at first but maybe just maybe this is the kick in the ass he needs to self reflect

It’s hard after being with him for 8 months and doing so much for him. The worst part is that for him it’s like nothing happened and he’s treating me worse

this situation can be SIGNIFICANTLY worse if he lied about it and you guys had intercourse. you said he tried to sleep with another girl while having an std before? girl, this is serious. i think you should leave him if he’s trying to get intimate with girls without protection and not tell them he has an std. you could go to court for something like this if you had intercourse.

Hi, him and I have been together for 8 months and he didn’t tell me until I confronted him. He doesn’t know that I know the girl he slept with previously told him she tested positive for HPV. He told me he didn’t want to say anything ever to anyone. He doesn’t understand why I’m upset and he just gets mad when I try to talk about it. I don’t know if I should break up or stay, I’m confused.
