I couldn’t date someone who lives in filth or hoards items, but I also couldn’t date someone who has a house like Kim Kardashians mansion - white everything and so much empty space, making it look unlived in, as you say.
I don’t mind “mess” as long as it’s a clean mess. As in, it’s not dirty dishes, trash or old food scraps laying around. It’s not dirty laundry scattered all over the floor. It’s not dirty marks coating the walls. You get the idea. I don’t mind if there’s things laying around, as long as it’s there for a reason, rather than just lazily thrown into a random spot and then forgotten about.
I see what you mean. in my opinion a house that looks lived in gives it character
