Sort of yes, I do prefer a man in control and after everything I’ve had to deal with in relationships, I, for once, don’t want to be the one in charge/control/confident/leading. I don’t have time to build up a new man and show him what to do, the bare minimum.
Yeah that’s really cool. I totally know what you mean. Everything’s just there and figured out. Like right this way. I love taking a girl in and doing that. I’m actually saving up for apartment and know where my life is going. I know what to invest in and how to communicate, but my mental health struggles are a part of my life journey. I just want to be seen holistically and be appreciated for the good I bring into the world
I don't date, never have and not planning on dating. There are way too many problems being in a relationship, mainly in my age group.
However, nervousness is a sign of a lack of self-esteem, shyness or being introvert. I view lack of eye contact is also as a sign of low confidence and submission. Those are not really very good traits of character for a person that is seeking to meet a person for the purpose of dating.
Nevertheless, there are much more important aspects to a person than lack of confidence. You have to look at the global picture and I am more interested in a person's character, personality and intellect rather than more superficial traits such as height, looks and physique.
It only becomes a problem if he won't open up. There's a guy I have on-and-off light feelings for. I keep trying to make friendly overtures, but he's so closed off that it's frustrating and unattractive because emotional intimacy is integral to me. I understand of course, because I'm extremely nervous and have a hard time making eye-contact. But I'm also self-aware enough to try not to let others feel uncomfortable, and I open up quickly if people are friendly to me and show genuine interest.
I like a shy guy and he still won’t speak to me. Still staring at me… a year later. Safe to say i want a confident man who can be straight up with me. Just walk up to me and say it.
still waiting for the shy guy to build up his confidence
Confidence is attractive.
If a shy person talks about their own interests they can appear more confident. Trick is encouraging a convo in that direction.
If they can't maintain eye contact, it seems like they like you cause there acting all shy
it depends on the situation particularly
idm it
