Guys, why do you get nervous when you see a girl? And then why do you avoid eye contact with her?

Guys don’t get nervous when they see in a girl in general. It’s when we see a girl that we find attractive. Then suddenly we start to care a lot more about her and what she thinks about us.

It’s like why do people get nervous during exams? Because they are important to you and you care about the result. But if it was a test that you didn’t care about, you wouldn’t be so nervous.

If a girl is the type that I like then yes I will get nervous around her. Even avoid eye contact as well. I am a shy person so would be nervous around girls especially those that are beautiful.

Regarding the eye contact, I don't want her to be able to see what is going on with me emotionally. What if she sees I like her? What if she sees I'm nervous? What if she sees I'm a loser? What if my eye contact is awkward? What if I stare too much and she finds it off-putting?

Hard to explain. I mean there is nervousness. If she rejects you, if things don’t work out, is she a good person, etc.

But honestly it’s nervousness in a good way sometimes if it’s someone I know and she’s really great. I don’t know how to explain it. I really don’t.

Yes and I don't want her to think I'm a creep or that I'm lusting after her. There are some girls that no matter how hard I try I can't take my eyes off. So when she catches me I don't want to continue staring. After mutual times that we catch each other she usually comes closer and closer to me. That's when I hook.
