+1 yI’ve been on a few dates like that. Does that count?
I dated Miss Congo of America while I was in college. I loved her so much. The problem was she didn’t have many boundaries and couldn’t respect mine and that was awkward because I didn’t know how to communicate that with her. She was the most gorgeous women on our campus without any doubt. Another problem that happened all the time was people would literally interrupt our date to talk with her. We would be sitting at a table, talking, and eating food and a completely random stranger would pull up a chair to start talking with her. This happened multiple times with different people. Some were her friends.
Obviously that was more of a problem with the public than her. Though her response was to continue to talk with them like they are included on our date so that bothered me too.
We mutually agreed to go our separate ways. We respected each other 100%.10 Reply

But definitely someone perfect for me so I can shine some light on the how to get over them part. You can't get over the love for them, they will always be lovable. But you can get over the attachment to the point where your heart is open to someone new you can then commit to and love.

+1 yYes a few times. I consider myself a 6.5-7 and i go for 7-8s but I consider 9-10s out of my league. I dated three who were 9s in looks but below that in personality. I was honestly shocked they were my type. But they had commitment issues in my opinion. They never actually cheated but they were natural flirts with others (ironic coming from me) and that made me a bit insecure as if I would never be enough for them. I also had a steamy masturbation session with someone else who was out of my league. He was too much of a hoe to want to become more with him. Two other guys out of my league showed interest in me but I just didn’t feel I could “keep” them though I could get them, so I just didn’t bother to take things to the next level with them. I definitely feel more comfortable dating 7s and 8s. My current boyfriend is an 8.

there's only one 9 i was into that i could never score. He just always made things awkward when around him and it was clear that he didn't see me as good enough yet i always caught him staring at me and then he’d try to act as if he wasn't looking. I don't know he was a weird one but a total samoan babe. After high school, he gained like 100 pounds and now he's below my league. he's gone from a 9 to a 4. He ain't the shit no more
+1 yI learned there isn’t a such as thing “out of your league” because the person you thought were out of your league was actually out of yours lol

I meant to say that the person always be out of their own league

@Paradiseequeen not always…I’d say an obese woman dating a guy who LOOKS like Chris Hemsworth…he would be out of her league…

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI got my foot in the door with someone like this in college but I screwed it all up. I couldn’t believe she would be ever interested in me at the time. I didn’t know how to handle it. For a brief window she really was but I handle it all wrong (over pursued, tried to be someone who I wasn’t, etc.)
Then the worst possible outcome I happened I got (unannounced) friend zoned. But back then there was little awareness/understanding of that dynamic. I thought I still thought I had a chance given she was still calling me, talking to me and hanging out with me.
However in hindsight she was also very two faced. Had one of the best fake smiles I’ve ever seen. I don’t respect fake people. Sure she was out of league looks wise but other ways I was out her league when it came to morals.
10 Reply307 opinions shared on Dating topic. Well I mean I’ve never been in a relationship or even a situationship…all I can say is that my friends would tell me that I was settling or lowering my standards with both the girls I seriously tried to date, so in their eyes at least I was out if the girl’s league. I didn’t think so though…
10 Reply312 opinions shared on Dating topic. It’s an interesting concept. I always disagreed with the idea of leagues. But I have noticed there are girls that are way too perfect, model-like that don’t pay attention to me. I may get a lot of crap for this, but I do get a very nice amount of attention from women but there’s a level of beauty I can’t access.

+1 yYes, I did. I’m a seven or an eight and I’ve dated nines and tens. Often they just used me for sex and dumped me when someone hotter came along. Or they were married and I didn’t know it. With three exceptions.

I rarely rate other people. I think in general, people sexualise themselves too much and bring any number out of ten and wasting time thinking about it is shallow.

I’m not insulted that you don’t regard me as a 7 or 8. I actually don’t care what anyone else thinks, since I’ve got a mirror and I’ve seen the amount of attention I’ve received from men of all ages and leagues (and women too); in person. I’m merely empathising with the guy asking the question, so he knows he’s not the only one who’s dated ‘out of his league;’ looks wise.
- +1 y
Indeed, everyone makes that mistake in their youth. The wisest thing that all of us who aren’t model or tv material learn is to date a cute person, a 7 or 8, if we must date a good looking person. Someone cute, or ‘a little bit;’ handsome stays down to earth. Most men can’t cope with beauty (or ageing); like women can.
- +1 y
Now you’re just being bitchy. I’m definitely a 7 or 8. I don’t take a great photo. However, I am beautiful. Just not model material.
- +1 y
As I said, it’s up to you to make up your own mind about that. Your opinion means nothing to me. Beyond a discussion, purely because I’ve currently got nothing better to do than acknowledge your existence.

+1 yYeah my last boyfriend is what I would consider out of my league. He was cute, had perfect white teeth, abs, perfect D, his parents had money, he had a nice car and dressed well. But he got into meth so we broke up after a year lol
116 Reply- +1 y
@JHAYES317 LOL it is subjective, but I liked his :P
And basically he was living off his parents money, he was young though.. he didn't keep jobs for long lol - +1 y
@PeachyPie93 personally I wouldn’t consider a guy who was more well endowed than me in a higher league than me unless he was way better at sex overall outside of just his D…I tend to look at leagues more like what you do with what you got…that simply being hotter than other people because of genetics…but to each their own
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 Well he was a virgin which was nice and he wasn't bad at it. I tend to put people in leagues based on looks and intelligence not really anything else lol
- +1 y
@PeachyPie93 I’d say it needs to be on more just looks (guessing you mean height, D size, abs, and hair) and intelligence…I think you need to factor in emotional maturity, spirituality, vocation (specifically doing a job they are passionate about vs a job they hate), hobbies (how interesting of a life to they have), values/beliefs, etc.
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 Well I always had a shallow view of leagues, since men are the same way. As a female you can be dumb as shit, have a garbage personality but men will always pick them first based on looks. So I treat men the same as long as they are hot they are highly valued lol. That is usually why I don't attempt to go for them because I am not in the same league.
- +1 y
@PeachyPie93 on social media, yes that is the case. But if you actually want a happy relationship, you should seek a partner based on the intangible things like emotional maturity, mental maturity, spirituality etc…The only time I’d get with a hot chick regardless of anything else would be for a hookup…I sure as shit would not get into a relationship with a girl solely if she was hot. Yeah being physically attractive helps…but if they have an ass personality…not gonna happen.
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 Yeah I know you are right about a relationship. But leagues have always been based on more shallow things. Like someone rich, smart, attractive, other people have to want that person for them to be in a high league if no one wants them they are low league lol
- +1 y
@PeachyPie93 I guess I’m low league then by your definition lol. But I personally think the intangible stuff is what makes someone inherently more valuable…not the physical/material stuff
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 Well yeah that stuff is way more important but generally not chased after lol.
- +1 y
@PeachyPie93 and that’s why the divorce rate is so high lol
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 True lol

@NYlatefun I don't think I was out of his league I just was smarter than him and made better life choices. He had low self esteem and shitty friends so I don't blame him for his choices but I guess his parents will have to deal with that.

@NYlatefun Very true.

+1 yNo such thing as leagues, also popular people tend to be boring to me, I'd be more likely to be interested in the type of woman who mostly avoids society in person.
00 Reply 2.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. Every woman is too good for me, as far as I'm concerned, which is why I so thoroughly enjoy being subservient to them.
00 Reply3.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. I am not sure. Either they are out of my league (i highly doubt that) or I am out of their league.
Then again, "league" is something I take lightly but not dismissively.

Sorry to break it to you guys, but it is real. It is highly unlikely the prettiest girl in the school is going to go for the awkward anti social nerd - there are exceptions of course, but it’s all about playing the odds.
If the nerd works on himself though and understands game, fashion, social skills, etc, he can increase those odds though
