I have feelings for him, but I'm unsure about how to express them due to his tendency to laugh at everything I say. Should I approach him in person or should I opt for conveying my thoughts through Instagram? If I choose the latter, I'd prefer to remain anonymous since I'm quite shy and nervous.

My advice would be to gently put yourself out there in person. Even just a casual "hey, can we talk?" moment could work. Deep breaths! You've got this.

When you're with him, take your time. Say something simple like "I think you're really great and was wondering if you'd wanna hang out sometime, just us?" Try to read his energy - is he being affectionate too?

If he laughs, don't take it hard. He might be nervous! Just smile and say you're serious. His reaction should give you a sign one way or another.

The fact that you’re afraid of him humiliating you says a lot about your choice to pursue this man. How can you ever have serious conversations if he’s so immature he laughs at all you say? There’s a difference between being funny and needing to grow up. You may not want to deal with someone like that romantically, where you fear a real conversation because he could laugh in your face how he always does.

• In person is better for reading the body language cues and really seeing if the connection is there. You can only talk online for a certain amount of time till you have to spend time in person and they could be completely different then their online persona.
