How do I make the first move on a guy that I like?

I met this guy off of Bumble back in December of 2023. We went on a date on the 22nd of December. From then on out we've been talking everyday and hanging out every weekend.

About two or three weekends ago I confessed to having feelings for him and he confessed to having feelings for me back. He's just the kind of person that wants to take things slow before getting into a relationship. So we're just friends that have feelings for each other for now.

Yesterday (Wednesday, March 13th, 2024) we went to see the Bob Marley movie. There were plenty of moments where I just wanted to grab his hand or lay my head on his shoulder, but I was too afraid to because I didn't wanna ruin what we have between us. Plus, the both of us are shy so making the first move is a little difficult right now.

My question is how do I go about making the first move without ruining anything him and I have, especially as a girl? Because we all know that it's usually the guys that make the first move and not the girls. But since him and I are both shy (him being more shy than me though), how do I go about making the first move; and what would be the best move to make?

In this case, just relax with him. If you feel like leaning, lean, a shy guy will always be greatful.

You can't really 'ruin' something. It is what it is and even if one or both of you goes to a place the other can't join, that is the reality of the both of you. There is no value in pretending or keeping a relationship forced into some idea or working framework. It needs to grow organically and its fine to start just by relaxing and letting yourself be effectionate. I do understand how scary it is when your realise your partner is irriplaceable in your life, and that its natural to not want to mess things up. Reality is we all DO mess stuff up all the time, the cure to that is finding the people who love us so much that even our messes are something they love (and its our jobs to be our true selves and to help them be theirs).

All said and done, just do what you feel, and be careful only when your moving into a new commitment space to make sure their on board and being helped with their own unique fears.
