Guys, How should I make my first move on my crush?

I am a shy college student and I work at the front desk as a student assistant and this guy caught my eye. He’s tall, has an amazing sense of style and looks quiet and chill. I’ve never approached a guy before and I don’t know how to approach him so please help. I just want to get to know him and his personality a little before anything else.

I would suggest to get the courage and approach him yourself as guys love a confident woman. However, I know also that when you are shy, no matter the courage, you sometimes can't pull it together. Then I would suggest you tell one of your close friends who has the courage to go up to him and convey your interest in him. You can also find him up on instagram and friend him and approach him through that platform. I hope you will also be OK if he says he ain't interested or is already in a relationship.

A good first step is to start up a conversation; find something and go with it- a book he's carrying, a shirt he's wearing, what have you. Unless he's giving you single-word monosyllabic responses, it'll give you a chance to get to know him a little, and build from there. And if he's dating someone or otherwise unavailable, it'll give you a chance to find out without risking embarrassing either of you.

say hello, and if he says hello back, say "I've seen you around, my name is...". See how he reacts. if he responds in kind, ask what his major is, does he live on campus, etc
