Why do you like Shy People?

This is a curious question for manly girls but guys can answer too. I know some people love shy guys, and girls. I'm shy myself so I'm curious why those who do like shy guys, or girls, why they do?

Thank you for the few that actually answered my question. I was asking and aiming for those that do like shy people, why they do. I was not asking if you do or don't like shy people.

I probably shouldn’t be a repetitive parrot lol. But I do have my shy moments until I feel in my comfort zone. So it makes me feel good when I meet someone shyer than me. It makes me become the bold one and i try to bring us both out of our shell without either of us feeling the pressure that we would have had one of us been an outgoing person. One thing about my guy is that i find it out that that backfired with him. Normally shy guys appreciate me trying to bring us out of our shells but my guy had the nerve to say i was being too outgoing. I don't know he's confusing. Had we both remained shy, we wouldn't have even progressed to the level that we did. Two shy people will get no where if at least one doesn't step up/out a bit

Yea again I'm sorry for that, me personally I'm very shy up front but once I open up people forget I was ever shy. It takes a while to open me up but once I do there is no going back.

I don't have many but I have a few of them. My best friend is definitely one of them, the funny part is because his wife met me through him when they were dating she is one of the very few people who never got to see my shy side because I just talked with my friend like normal while she was around. To this day she can't imagine me shy and quiet. Told her if she ever does bring a girl over for me to meet she is going to see that.

I have my doubts she will actually bring a girl over randomly when we hang out despite what she claims she will. But I'm going to go from the normal loud talkative guy that she is use to a shy quiet to guy. I think it will be more funny to see her reaction to it lol

As a woman, I don’t prefer shy guy. Sometimes shy guys can be boring and have limitations to do fun stuff.
I like outgoing guy better as long as he doesn’t talk way too much. But it’s just my opinion.

You have every right for your opinion I'm not against it, but shy doesn't always equal boring, lots of times it doesn't actually. Lots of shy people are super fun if you take a little time to open them up. I actually had a girl apologize to me once because she assumed I was boring and weird being shy, got to know me through a group we both hung out in and told me that I was a really good and fun guy actually and should have given me a chance sooner. Not always the case but is for many.

Yes I do not assume all shy guys are boring. That’s why I said “sometimes”.
And I’m not here to against you because my partner was a shy guy but eventually our energy level match. He’s still shy but much less. He gets used to as I’m outgoing and like making conversation with random people.

To answer your question though, at first I found it kinda mysterious like if he liked me or not. So it got a feeling like I gotta chase him a bit (he’s worth chasing for) so it can be interesting at first in my opinion.
Many outgoing guys will show their interest in girls but shy guys don’t make it very clear. So I guess some girls who like to chase a bit like them.
I like to chase and being chased. Fun!

Yes it’s rare. I only did it because he’s worth chasing for. He’s checked every point I was looking for.

I'm not attracted to the quality of shyness but I'm attracted to a guy who does not date a lot of people and values my thoughts and emotions, which could be more prevalent in somebody who is shy.

I am more reserved myself and I like shy people because they often choose their words wisely. I think it can be tiring sometimes to talk to people who talk A LOT. shy people are also often more empathetic and you can have deeper and more meaningful conversations. I‘ve never met a shy person who doesn‘t have a good heart. there should be more appreciation for people who are more reserved in my opinion ☺️

I dont even know what I am lmbo, Im extremely extroverted and outgoing when Im with my friends and family, even in public, but when It comes to meeting new people or someone I dont know is around me I just... I mean I'll introduce myself but it gets awkward after that. I guess Im both 🤷‍♀️

Most women don’t really like shy men. At least not in the western world. Not to say some but they are in the minority.

Also there is a difference between introverted and shy. Sometimes people can be both but occasionally they can be one or another.

Im about 2/3rds introvert myself. But I am not afraid of public speaking and when I’m in the mood I can be very sociable. But I do value my alone time.

Small times I do like shyness.. it’s more so if the person can appear really confident, but I can make them abit shy is attractive and cute lol. Or other times I do find that they seem more genuine, kind, or mysterious.

That is most of us, but definitely not all sadly. Shy is way more likely to be those things. But you seem to very smart and wise for your age to realize that already.

I like shy people in general because they can let their hair down when they feel comfortable, but there is never any way of reversing a lairy type!

That is your choice but honestly maybe they are worth the extra work which should only be at the beginning for a lot of them. Once someone opens me up personally I'm open. It's just the initial start up but definitely not forever.

It really depends. As long as they can still communicate, why not? Most of the time it just takes time for them to open up to you

That would be me, I'm just slow to start with but once you open me up I communicate great. My best friends wife never saw my shy side because she got to see me with my best friend and to this day has a hard time seeing me as shy because she is one of the very few who got to skip it.

Some of them are hard to interact with due to shyness so it requires more effort and time to finally get them to fucking talk to you at least
