Do you have selective mutism & can’t make friends and shy? Why do people hate shy people?

Im 25 now but when I was born u couldn’t talk at school since kindergarten. Everyone would talk easily make friends & I couldn’t get a word out of my mouth as I was shy. I found out by a therapist or doctor I had selective mutism. A disorder where you are shy quiet can’t make friends or be social. To make it worse I have encountered only mean girls whole life so I never had a best friend like a sister. I don’t have a big family, just my mom. My moms part of family are all bitches & toxic so the 2 girl cousins I have don’t want talk to me from extreme envy of me & just want copy how I look, copy what I have, copy the way I dress or copy color my hair. My cousin is so jealous of me we fought as out of no where she said in evil way she knows I need talk to her as she was the only friend I had , and I told her I’d rather have no friends than a stupid bitch like you!!! To this day my aunt and brothers wife and her 5 sisters all talk shit of me how I don’t talk or mentally ill or call my mom ugly. I have trash family. Notice how only they are all women talking bad of me and no men? I have never treated any of them bad for them to talk shit of me. And I do talk they just say that as a way to hurt me as they envy me hate me don’t like me. I have a curse where girls are assholes to me and I couldn’t talk growing up. It was hereditary due to my dad.

I had selective mutism in school, I was insanely shy back then... I've grown out of it as I'm also 25 but it's always been an issue for me... Never bullied but I struggled to make friends or stand out in groups so I understand where you're coming from

I’ve grown out of it too but still have no friends also I don't know if u read but all girls are assholes to me even girls in my family talk shit make up excuse that I don’t talk as a way to hurt me, I obviously talk they r just saying that cuz they don’t like me. And want find a way to hurt me badly

You know, I've read a lot into self help and self confidence. The best thing you can ultimately do is cut them off... If people do not value you and your energy there is no point having them in your life dragging you down. This goes for family, 'friends' and partners. Otherwise life will be toxic. It is crucial especially at the current stage you're at in life to surround yourself with other like minded positive individuals. Once you start cutting people out they will also be given the gift of missing you.

They have been cut out from my life but wen I visit me mom she gossips to me about the shit they said about me. That’s how I know lol. I just want know why they treat me bad? Use me not talking as a way to hurt me? I obviously talk.

I am sorry to hear that, it sounds awful. I honestly wouldn't pay them any attention as to why. They clearly have some issue of their own. Normally i'd ask the poster to take a look at themselves too, and study what actions they take and assess whether you might be the problem but you seem sweet and kind so I heavily assume it's their issue not yours

So, that's what they called it. We didn't go to doctor. I have that problem till grade 6th. I just didn't talk to other kids. I had 1 friend and then I used to be alone.

Then in 9th grade I changed and became more and more talkative
