Should I make advances on a coworker although the probablility that she rejects me is almost 100%?

She is a model, she is taller than me, she is older, she is absolutely one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. She also has a lovely personality. She is single, so this definitely means her standards are very high. I can't really imagine how she could be attracted to me. I'm quite an average looking guy, I have an entry level job. 9. Should you make advances? How awkward will it be - potentially - if you ask her for a date and she rejects you? That is one of the problems with trying to date co-workers. There is also the problem of dating, breaking up, and having her talk about you to you co-workers and boss.

11. Instead of asking her for a date, why not organize a few of the employees to go out to a happy hour after work one day, and you invite her to join the group? That is not like asking for a date. If she says no, it's not awkward. If she says yes, then you have an opportunity to have some conversation with her in a social setting, and you can get a better feel for whether the interest is mutual.

You answered your question. If you determine a high probability of rejection. Never received an inkling of interest from her then what possibly reason would you have to make an advance to her?
