Is shirtless confession a good idea?

I am a 17-year-old boy. Whenever I see a girl I like, I have the urge to take off my shirt and expose my chest in front of her. A few days ago, the girl I like came to my house as a guest. I took off my shirt at home, but she didn't react at all. She was still joking and chatting with me. She just avoided my eyes a little bit. I still haven't mustered up the courage to confess to her. Should I take it a step further?

Well, I think she just felt awkward, and you probably hurt your chances with her.

I've been shirtless in front of girls plenty, but thats just cause I'm shirtless a lot. Plus its the context of why your shirtless, not that you are. For me, people are used to it, but its also cause I'm always hot for whatever reason. Even during the winter I'll often wear a tank top and a jacket over it so I'm warm outside in the cold, but cool inside where they have a heater on.

If I'm already shirtless and a girl comes around, I don't run and put a shirt on, and they are not as awkward about it because I was shirtless from the start. But if I'm already wearing a shirt its different. Around family or other guys I just take my shirt off when I'm hot. Around girls I usually ask them if they are ok with me taking my shirt off. Haven't had anyone say no so far, and they don't seem as awkward, but its because you ask and show your thinking about how they feel.

Just randomly taking your shirt off and telling a girl you like her, yea, that sends of creepy vibes I'd think. I would suggest not doing that in the future...
