Had a crush on this guy for a while, couldn’t stop thinking of him for months etc. we hang out in the same friends group. I am pretty sure he’s someone I could date seriously and based on present knowledge can see myself with him long term. Now he finally asked me out on a date and I started panicking, suddenly I am having (irrational) second thoughts, I am somehow hoping the date gets canceled for some reason. I had a couple significant relationships in the past but they always started as friends with benefits, the idea of seriously dating someone makes me panick. Is it normal?

Absolutely! It's totally normal. New feelings can be scary, especially when you really click with someone. Maybe you're worried about messing things up, or freaking out because you like them so much. It's okay! Just take a breath, enjoy getting to know them, and see where things go. If the anxiety gets overwhelming, talking to a friend or therapist can help you navigate those feelings.
100% normal but it might get better as you have more experiences and step out of your comfort zone. Blah blah I know but you just gotta do it. Jump on in the water ain't half bad!
No, that is from unresolved trauma. Can be a bpd trait.
