It’s 100% genetic.
You can be in the top 5% of looks, but it’s only the top 2% that are wow to women are receive all the attention……it’s all genetic. All in the face. Being 5% is basically like an average/cute guy.

You can be tall and in shape, dress nice, groom but it’s still not gonna get the attention you want. Kinda sucks. I really think you need to go under the knife 🔪 these days.

Male competition is something completely different to women, it’s brutal.

Don’t overthink it, man. I get where you’re coming from but you’re making it out to be more drastic and futile than the situation actually is. You’re also still in your 20s, the game is cutthroat at that point because most people haven’t lived long enough to have their romantic dreams and expectations shattered yet, lmao, everyone is still living under the illusion that some perfect storybook situation is waiting out there for them and they won’t rest til they find it. Everyone is keeping this high standard for themselves, everyone thinks they deserve the best in all aspects, and we haven’t gotten to the point yet where we realize we have make concessions, because everyone involved is human.

I’m a little out of the loop in the social media age of dating, I’ve been out of the game since before smartphones, let alone dating apps, haha. I’m not very photogenic, and I’m not really into taking a bunch of pictures of myself in the first place, so I’d probably struggle these days more than I did in the in-person cold approach days I was working in. Giving people a menu of other people to select from gives some accessibility that has its pros, but I can see where the con of certain “menu items” being ordered all the time and others being largely ignored could happen.

But at the same time, I see people together all the time. It’s not GigaChad walking around Walmart with a harem of women, it’s just regular, individual couples. I probably won’t see them on any magazine covers, sure, but they’re linked up, they’ve got somebody, usually relatively equal in physical attractiveness, or not too far off. You know, so, what is our own standard? If I say “I won’t settle for less than an Instagram bikini model”, I could be waiting a long time for that bus to come. If I say “I want to find a nice girl who I enjoy spending my time with and is good to me”, that’s a search itself, but you make it easier on yourself if you aren’t eliminating like 70% of the dating pool based on looks alone. Not saying you need to drop your physical standards completely, but looking back on my life, there were girls I never gave a chance, who weren’t even ugly or unattractive, but they just weren’t beauty queens that would knock you off your feet, and for whatever reason, I had it in my head that that’s what I deserved. And I actually did hit the lottery on that front, lmao, maybe not a great example, I found the whole package…. but my point remains, those other girls, while maybe not as beautiful and maybe not even being the right one for me as I believe my lady is, they were fucking AMAZING girls who, had I not been so fortunate, I would probably be kicking myself today, saddled with regret. So give that 4-6 a chance. Time really starts flying after 30, the looks are fleeting, you need someone who you can stand to be around when you’re 70 and wrinkly, haha. I met my girl when I was around your age, I was 27, almost 28. I CANNOT BELIEVE we’re in our 40s now. Absolutely in disbelief. If the years keep flying at this rate, or god forbid, even faster…. like I’m getting hit with like existential, mortality feels over it, lmfao.

But I’m saying I got here in the blink of an eye, and I’m afraid to blink again because next time I’ll be like 65. And pray to the old gods and the new that she and I are alive and together then, we won’t be much to look at, so we’d damn well better enjoy each other’s company. The “being young and beautiful and frolicking in a field of daisies and making love a beach in a spring rain” part of dating and relationships is all front-loaded. The back-end is REAL LIFE. So pick the right one, built for the long haul.

Anyway, my overall point is to make sure you’re going into this with the right mentality. Women probably have more things they can do to make themselves attractive, and are probably working with better raw materials than us, if we’re wing honest, haha. But I wouldn’t say it’s “easy.” I was playing a hockey game a couple months ago and there were three teenage girls working the booth in the lobby. We had to dress in the lobby (outdoor rink, no locker rooms), so I was nearby for an extended time, and they were like pressing fake eyelashes onto each other or something. Didn’t want to stare, as a half-naked 45 year old man with his nips out😂, but that seemed to be what they were doing, and it looked tedious. Like I went and played for an hour and came back, and they were still at it.

So, the gals I think have a higher baseline standard they might feel obligated to hit. Us guys…. stay in shape, have good hygiene, dress reasonably well (and the ladies seem willing to sacrifice there, I see a lot of dudes in relaxed fit jeans with bad-looking running sneakers they clearly bought for the price point, lmao)…. the ladies are more forgiving. I think it’s important to remember “people say a lot of things.” Every other woman says they want a guy who’s this or that, but you look around, and they either aren’t holding tight to that, or there’s enough variety in what “this” or “that”, oftentimes not even being a physical trait, that women want that it balances out.

Try not to get too discouraged. As men, we die a thousand deaths in the dating game, it’s just the way it is. You have to truck through. Keep putting yourself out there, and work to be the best version of yourself as you can be (yes, that’s corny, lmao, but true). I have some friends who are absolute goofs, lmfao, but most of them have found decent women for themselves. Some are divorced and working on #2, lmao, but still, the women come around eventually. The only real “forever alone” guy is my one buddy who is maybe the best looking one of them, and he’s 6’3 (he’s let himself go, he’s heavy now, but in his day he was just tall and broad, women liked his appearance), but he’s got this weird mentality, and he’s got it in his head that he can date hot women in their 20s until he’s like 55, lmfao, and it’s like “how’s that working out?” But even age aside, he’s always had this thing where he’s looking for the perfect situation, some dime chick…. I’m thinking to myself “buddy…. you can pull a 7 no problem, but you want some 10, and you’re just not that guy, bro”😂 And he’s a weird dude with no game, his looks get him in the door but he can rarely close, it’s not like he’s some successful playboy, he just has this delusional main character syndrome and has idealistic expectations that he won’t alter. So now he’s 46 and fat trying to bang the occasional 50 year old divorcee off of Tinder, haha. But I don’t think he’ll get married. He’s never even had a girlfriend, and it’s his own doing.

I can’t believe this is 1,200 words, so sorry, lmfao, I’ll shut up here, but hopefully through my long insane ranting you picked up that “it’s not hopeless, don’t give up, just be realistic and don’t let the pursuit of “perfect” be the enemy of “good.” That top 2% are literally just two dudes out of every hundred. They can probably only reasonably fuck like 20-30 women out of their share of 100 per week, so the odds are ever in your favor, haha. Women don’t want to be alone either. Some will find temporary company with Chad and Brad in their younger years, but Chad and Brad can only marry one each. You may be Eskimo brothers, lmao, but there will be girls out there for you, just be reasonable in what you expect vs what you bring to the table. Good luck, my G👍
