depends on how large the intelligence gradient is between and her. if it's a little, that's no problem. but if it'a lot that'll make a relationship more difficult than one where there's not such a big difference in the long run. it will create communication issues and you'll have problems to relate with each other.

so the thing in a relationship is that "ideally" you have a partner that is able to challange you and motivate you to grow and at the same time is able to catch you in a time of weakness till you get back on your feet. as i said. go see if it works for you. short to mid term it will likely not be a problem at all. but long term, you'll lose interest in the relationship or worse. it may drag you down

In this case it's not bad but you need to really think would you be ok with her in the long run because my father married my mother who's not very bright and he got fed up with it the more the years passed. usually a smart person dating someone dumber than them don't end well because they end up not being able to support it anymore (having to repeat themselves over and over again and not being able to rely on them if something goes wrong).

You make a lot of good points. And everyone deserves love, that is true. Personally, I could never date a dumb girl let alone marry one. Friendship and friends with benefits might still be possible but nothing more.
The girl from work I told you about before was honestly quite dumb. Didn't know basic things and was even making mistakes about celebrities. At least she admited she wasn't book smart but was still pretty embarrassing, especially since she had a Bachelors degree.
I don't have patience for stupid people, and it makes conversations boring and awkward. Everyone should date people on their own wave length and not lower their standards out of desperation.
I remember one of my friends said he wants to date a stupid girl and then date a smart girl, but he wasn't very bright himself.
My best friend from high school dated a girl who was smarter then him and they didn't stay together. Smart people need to be with smart people. And I actually read that smart people have a harder time finding partners, because they have higher standards.

@KostasKouvalis Intelligence isn't important to me, that's personally not something I look for. I don't actively seek out someone not smart, but if they aren't, it's not a deal breaker for me.

I noticed lots of people with degree are not always smart, they know their stuff but that' about it, depend on the person but a lot are like that.

It's not really the higher standard but more the fact that majority of people are either dumb or average so it make it harder to find someone on their level.

You're going to regret it that's for sure. You don't know how harassing is it to stay live 24 / 7 with a dumb person, it's impossible. And at the begining it's ok but like I said it's ont he long run in 15 / 20 years you ll not support it anymore and pray for your kid to be smart and take on the good side if not you're in for multiple hours helping them in their studies and supporting them when they're older an cannot find a good job.

I've noticed that too. In the US any bozo can get a degree, and I've also noticed that with professors. Most of the ones I had seemed to have very little to no knowledge outside their field.

Yeah, could be that. I'm somewhat of a sapiosexual, so I could never see myself being with a stupid girl.

However, I also think things like rational thought, critical thinking and not being woke/politically correct also equate to intelligence.
And I also don't think your level of education is an indicator of how smart you are. You don't need to go to college these days to be smart. College is more to help you get a job
