It's easier to be popular when you dont really care what they think. But when you crush on someone it's like you dont want to screw up. So you put a lot of pressure on yourself. Thinking things like "I gotta be cool, I dont want to bother her, I dont want her to think..." so it makes it almost impossible to have simple conversation with them.

There's such a multitude of dumb shit that gets in our heads. Being the approacher all the time is exhausting trying to keep natural and unique. For me my nerves are up and down constantly in public so I'm not doing anything until I feel like I can be real and natural for the both of us.
