Heyy! So I have a guy best friend with whom i share a very strong bond. We both are super close and call each other "homie". Well, when we both first started talking, he used to compliment me on my stories, but since i didn't like him, I bro-zoned him... But after that we really got closer, we casual talk everyday. And we have met twice. He is a MAJOR green flag. and i realized that i have feelings for him only 2 days ago, but as for rn he has sister zoned me LIKE UGHHH!!! and he even likes a girl, and they talk n stuff but I rreally like him and i think he's the one for me <3 But I don't know what to do, lmk about ur opinions thankyouuu<3
Been there.
It’s hard to date a guy once HE has friend-zoned you because mentally he’s already gone through the whole “attraction” phase without you and found a way to shove all those types of feelings down into his Nikes so he can have normal “homie” conversations with you rather than jumping your bones.
The fact that he’s still hanging around you is something you should be proud of because you’re more meaningful to him than just a physical source of attraction. He’s let you into his world.
That’s super frustrating for a girl because we tend to be the reverse… feelings, feelings, feelings, then the big flame of attraction, especially when we’re younger.
If you want, sit and have an honest convo with him, but be prepared for it to go in one of three directions — (1) he’s confused and backs off, (2) he is willing to explore a relationship with you, (3) he keeps you on the hook of uncertainty for a while.
If he does 1 or 3, YOU have to be strong enough to walk away from both the friendship and the romance.
Good luck!
