I know he finds me "sexy" and "likes the way I think" (his words), but I don't know if he is really interested to explore something more. He knows I like him. At some point I suggested we grab a coffee sometime. He said sure! He also suggested we get lunch or dinner instead.

This is something you really need to ask him, I know I definitely did as early as I could before I met the man I’m with now. Something casual like ‘so what are you looking for right now?’ Or very straightforward with ‘what are your intentions for talking to me?’. Fortunately in most cases they will be honest, tell you if they are looking for anything serious or not. But it’s better to actually know because you don’t want to invest time and romantic feelings into him only to find out you aren’t on the same page.

I disagree. It's way too confrontational to ask that and someone might say "I'm not looking for anything" in defense. Yes if someone is very seriously into looking for a relationship might say yes, but most people don't even know what they are looking for until they get to know someone.
