Only slept for 4 hours and worked whole day, with 4 hour sleep, I don’t function very well. But I have a date pretty soon, is it a good idea to go on a date sleepless?

Plus, I want to go. Just I am a bit tired.
I don't sleep well ~95% of the time, so if I schedule a date, I date it based on the assumption that I will likely not have slept well immediately preceding it. But I have learned to adapt to going without good sleep. For someone whom that affects to an extent that it is bothersome, he or she would be perfectly justified in rescheduling a date, for that reason or any other. If you go on a date, it should be because that is what you wish to do, and it should occur at the time that you wish to go on a date. If you feel like it would be better to postpone it until a better time, that is the right thing to do, despite the disappointment it may cause the person with whom you intended to go on the date. At the same time, it is wise to consider that person's perspective and situation as well. Did he or she go through considerable hardship to clear other obligations to be able to go on the date at the given time, and would it be burdensome for him or her to go through such actions again for a postponed date? That may influence your decision. Also, it is polite to let the person know with some degree of advance notice that you wish to reschedule, though life being what it is, this is not always feasible. In short, do what your heart says.
Every day is a new day & some days we aren’t always at our best so when it comes to a date if you didn’t sleep well or you are really tired or sick or something like that rescheduling would be the best thing to do but doing it last minute is a NO NO.
Be honest. If he understands, then all the more you have to make it up to him when you see him again. This time, look your best and give him all the attention he deserves.
You could warn him ahead of time, and leave it up to him if he still wants to go.

Yes I have, I’ve explained why etc and left it upto them but I have said I’m getting a taxi or tube etc and not driving. Also changed location so can get there easier. If they are interested, they understand, if not I really don’t care.

Well being exhausted would likely make the date not a lot of fun for anyone. Good communication is always important. Let him know then decided together what is the best course of action.
Well, explain to him that you are exhausted, and not just putting him off, and don't want him to think you are giving him a brush off. Reschedule soon but be sincere
