There's this guy I have a crush on. He's handsome, kind, and smart. And we seem to have quite a lot in common. He seems like a nice guy but he's really shy. Our mutual friends say we would be "good together" and his friends say we'd make a beautiful couple. I had one mutual friend say "I don't know who looks better, you or him."
But my parents, when I showed them a picture of him, said that he looks like a male model and that I shouldn't aim for the good looking guys, because they'll not want to commit to just one girl. They said he's out of my league.
Even though he's a nice person, I feel insecure that he might be too good-looking for me. I'm considered fairly attractive (not to toot my own horn), but I've never dated a guy as attractive as him before. He keeps looking at me and told mutual friends that he thinks I'm "really cute." Should I go for it? How do I know if he's out of my league?
