Girls, Why is Simplicity is Seen as Taboo in Dating?

Why is it so that simple guys are always single. Guys who don't drink or go for a night out but are hardworking and are focused on their future are always single and are considered boring or not my type?

The norm for in-person dating has revolved around the food and entertainment industry since at least the very late 1800s if not earlier.


It’s not about whether you’re “simple” or not. It’s about whether you’re willing to put yourself out there. If you’re at a party or happy hour and you don’t care for alcohol, you can get an “Arnold Palmer” at a bar (that’s nonalcoholic, 1/2 lemonade, 1/2 iced tea) or just a cranberry and tonic with lime. It looks fancy and playful enough that you fit in with the dating crowd.


You don’t have to make yourself nuts to find a girl, you just have to show effort to be good company… someone she sees herself going out with.


Alternatively, if you’d like to stick with the “simple,” go to places where you’ll meet very simple girls and figure out if you’re actually attracted to them. I have a feeling that’s the true source of the question here. Know what you like and what you want.

There is nothing taboo about not drinking, not going to bars. Those are preferences and has nothing to do with being taboo.

If I were into dating, then I would certainly chose that type of person vs. a player, a toxic person or even someone that calls himself an Alpha male.

Be happy to be hardworking and focused on your future. The world is desperately short of those kinds of people.

Having a simple life doesn't make most people not want to date you. Being boring does though. You don't have to have the same hobbies as are popular in culture to not be boring, but you have to have some hobbies. If you don't drink or go clubbing, what do you do for fun? Read or watch TV or movies? Have a meal or play board games with friends? Play video games alone or with friends? Just something.
