What does looking decent mean?

I find guys usually use this term when they are describing a female with qualities they consider valuable and appreciable but yet this woman lacks certain traits that would make them wholesomely delightful to them visually.

It depends on the context. "Looking Decent" for a date vs. for work or some special occasion or place aren't all the same thing.


Generally, though, it means looking good — or at least good enough to be regarded kindly by those at the place or event where you're going to be.
