"Yellow Fever," similar to "Jungle Fever," is hardly a complimentary term. It usually means the man involved thinks a woman is "exotic." It may also mean the man involved objectifies the woman, meaning, he doesn't see them as a person, but more of an object of desire.

If someone objectifies you, you're in trouble from the start.

Particular men may be particular about what "flavor" of Asian female they prefer: Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Hawaiian (as there has been a history of marriage between the aforementioned groups and Hawaiians) or other Asians/Pacific Islanders.

This holds true for jungle-preferred guys: some only date extremely dark women, or only women from Haiti, Nigeria, or only fair-skinned black women.

But, remember, this is more about a man's KINK, than about who YOU are or where you or your family originated from.

Best to find out if you're a sort of fetish for a man, rather than a person who happens to have an ethnicity that a man finds physically more attractive. Be careful.

Depends on what you consider to be a fetish.

If it's just a preference nothing wrong with it really. Many people look for both physical attraction and personality in a partner, might just be that he favors Asian looks and/or some characteristics common in Asian culture. I wouldn't really call that a fetish, but wouldn't recommend dating someone that has a clear preference opposite of what you are.

But I think everyone should stay away from true fetishist, which in this case is someone that only goes for a certain type and almost any person of that type and objectifies them by culture more than seeing them as an individual.

Depends, are they respectful of women in general? If not, then no. Really, just having an affinity for a specific race isn't a bad thing. However, if not kept in check it can become one. When you see them as sexual conquests or play things you have gone too far with it.
