Are people purposely putting an end to dating/relationships?

With everything that’s been going on between men and women, the dating world is practically non existent. So does that mean everyone is choosing to be single until their last breath?

I think at this time, there are far more important aspects to focus on for many people. The economy and life is posing challenges right now, and for many even just putting food on the table has become a challenge. Work / life balance is hardly something that exists anymore, and working from home jobs still rely on employees time and devotion, whilst being tracked by their employer to ensure standards are being withheld at home while working, as they would be in office. People don't have actual FREE time anymore it seems. Working all week, with days off to be for errands, groceries, taking care of outside responsibilities, etc.
Not to mention children, family, etc. time and finding the time to celebrate birthdays, share occasions, etc.

Dating, doesn't seem to take priority for many people anymore, as they just do not have the time to a lot to finding an actual partner. Taking time to spend one on one with someone of interest, between work and life, it's HARD. Plus, online dating apps are difficult, and like another user said in a diff question, "ghosting" has become such a common response with regard to online dating. Online dating takes time as well, but not as much as in person time takes (planning dates, meeting up, getting to know each other, finding common interests, finding time to sit and talk and connect with someone) is hard.

I don't think people are purposely putting an end to dating / relationships, but at this time and this day in age, a lot of us simply do not have the means, the time, or the availability outside of our responsibilities daily, to commit to finding someone romantically.

I haven't noticed any changes in dating at all, all of our friends are still dating and marrying.

I don’t know about everyone else but I have personally given up on dating and relationships. I’ve dated and had relationships in the past. Just wasn’t happy no matter who I was with. And the whole men v women thing just makes me even less eager to actually seek a woman to be in a lifelong relationship with. Besides, I’m not interested in sexual intercourse, I don’t want to have children of my own (as if they would be my own and not the woman’s) my brother will end up having children someday so that I won’t have to in order to keep the family going into the future. I also don’t plan on ever getting married (sorry mom and dad…) marriage in my personal opinion only benefits women. Especially divorce and as long as it’s so easy for divorces to happen I will refuse to get married. Men are the ones who propose after all and no one can force me to do it.

I think a lot of people aren't happy in their personal lives. Financial stress, anxiety about job security. Many people are traumatized from growing up with divorced parents. Everyone has issues and hurt inside. Hurt people hurt people. Everybody has had a few toxic relationships because of that. I think dating just isn't appealing anymore. We are all so burnt out from getting hurt and just life stress. How could we possibly think about committing our lives to another person?

Yeah it's too one-sided and will likely result in kids down the road and the overpopulation is bad so people aren't breeding now which is a good thing
