Is religion important in love? if you love someone and you want a serious relationship with him/her nothing can stop you guys.. am I wrong?

There was a girl I was dating, and she knew that my religion is different from hers, plus I’m not that religious. We used to see each other and talk for hours; she never mentioned something about religion because she knows we’re different! Suddenly, when I told her I start to develop feelings for her, she said I can’t make something serious with you because of your religion. Then she said it’s not about your religion; it’s about her principles… Is she playing with me or what? Is she playing mind games and using the religion card to stop talking to me? That doesn’t make any sense, lol

Dawg that's whack. If you guys really vibed it seems lame for religion to suddenly be in the way. A few thoughts:

- Seems like she was down to chill and have fun but got cold feet when feels started developing into something real.

- Maybe religion is important to her fam and she don't wanna deal with their drama. But it still lame to lead you on like that.

- Could be using it as an excuse cuz she just don't like you like that but don't wanna hurt your feelz. Spirituality not a reason to cut off a good thing, ya feel me?

- Her loss homes! At least she showed her true colors now before you caught feels harder.

I'd say just let it be dawg. Don't trip too hard on what could've been. Keep it pushin - plenty other fish, feel me? Go kick it with your boys, stay busy and you'll get over it. Next time don't sweat the small stuff like religious differences if the vibe is right. You got this bro!

Yes it is. Marrying, or being in a serious longterm relationship, with someone who has religious beliefs different from yours or religious beliefs you don’t agree with will create issues. Holidays, daily life, how to raise the kids, your families, the ”culture” of those religions don’t match like different clothing and food and rules etc.
