If it is someone you have known for a length of time, then you should pick her up at her home. If it is someone you met online and you are meeting face-to-face for the first time, most women will prefer to meet you at the restaurant or whatever your destination. At that point she doesn't know you and wants an opportunity to prove that you are not Jack the Ripper before you learn where she lives.

It’s really sweet for a guy to be traditional and pick you up at your place, but meeting on location is safer if you don’t know the guy yet. You can always ask to be picked up once you know the guy better.

I prefer meeting there. Especially on a first date, I need the autonomy to leave whenever I want and know where I'm going. It is not sexy to be trapped in a vehicle with a stranger lol
