Can a relationship between atheist and god worshipper get challenging with time?

Yes, it will likely be impossible. It could be doable until kids are in the picture, but then I don't know how it could work.

Atheists, from what I understand, don't believe in God or any other religious entity because they believe or trust only in what is provable. Since God is not provable, they cannot view Him as real in any practical or measurable sense. They tend to view those who do believe in God as idiots, generally. They wouldn't want their kids to be idiots, so they would aggressively counter their spouse's religious views, most likely. That's because to not do so would be antithetical to their values and beliefs. To be religious is to be a fool and a weakling, essentially.

God worshippers generally see their views as integral to how they live their life and determine their values. Often, it goes beyond that to the point where to not worship God is to be eternally damned. Because of that, it would be unthinkable for a God worshipper to risk their children being "lost" "unsaved" "damned", etc. based only on what is known or provable. So they, in turn, would relentlessly fight against their spouse's views to save their children from being damned.

So you can see that the love of both for the welfare of the children would rip them apart because what each of them views as the children's best interest cannot be reconciled. The only solution is for one to yield, and their beliefs are too deeply held for that to happen.

It can be challenging but it can also work. My dad is an atheist and my mom is a Christian sometimes they clash with each other because both are trying to prove a point but they can also easily move on from disagreements. They've been married for 34+ years.

All relationships get difficult at sometime or another. Anyways person would not mix radical spiritual differences into a common relationship that you're serious about. Chances are working out are so small that it is really a waste of time when you could be dating somebody that you identify with.

Yes to the point where every religious person I've dated did not work out because we had conflicting views. And it will affect raising kids too. It's important to have similar views in a relationship.

Honestly my wife is Catholic and she’s cool. Serisouly it’s the little things like dishes, laundry and toothpaste that make a relationship. Not religion.
