Hoodie help, would this be weird?

My boyfriend gave me his hoodie to keep, but it's been a few weeks and it doesn't really smell like him anymore. Would it be weird if I gave it back to him, and said something like "it doesn't smell like you anymore, it's kinda making me sad, mabye you can change that" I don't want to sound weird or creepy but I really do want it to smell like him again especially since I have to go on a trip and won't see him for a week or 2
