I think it's a cool little gift. It fits right in the pocket. Okay so yeah it's no heavy hitter and probably uses 22LR rounds or 22Short, but some guy is still going to get dropped when they get hit with that in the face. My Walther P-22 is fun to shoot... ammo is a bit cheaper too.
This thing... it could fit right underneath a fat tittie or in the front side of the panties and make it look like you're packing one of those dick clits.
I may not be a girl, but I'd act like one and do a little dance if you gave me that.
... for the record I have all sorts of guns already... a 9mm Glock, a shotgun (12 gauge), and a AR-15 (5.56) are all within 5 feet of me right now. ... and I think that thing is cool as all fuck.
I’ve always luv’d the aesthetic of over-unders. I shot a.32 once. I swear it kicked no more than a cap gun. It wasn’t accurate for sh*t though. I suppose in an up close and personal confrontation, it might be enough to change someone’s mind or at least slow them down enough to get away and get help.
if it's a real gun...
I have a license so I know how to use it... but tbh I wouldn't ever want to be in a situation I had to use it...
so I probably wouldn't be thrilled to have it as a gift, because underlying message is simple use it to protect yourself
if it's a toy, I would throw it away, such toys create more troubles than fun
I mean... it's the thought that counts but I would prefer a bigger gun lol.
I'd still like it, but I'd probably think it was more of a gag gift lol.

I like the gesture, but man is that a hard gun to shoot. 'Snappy' is the undersell of the year.
I would hope that my girlfriend would be disappointed it is not bigger.

“ Its better to be a warrior in a garden then a gardener in a war” or “It’s better to be strapped even tho you don’t need it than to be not strapped when you need it.”
I already have a handgun so he wouldn't buy me one.
Not in the slightest. It would mean he doesn't pay attention to me when I said I am terrified of guns.
i wouldn't be no. because its either a dumb toy, or an actual weapon which is illegal here
What state do you live in? If you're in the USA, then it's not illegal anywhere. Actually not one of the so-called "gun laws" in this country are legit. Every one of them contradicts the constitution and if a law does contradict the constitution, it's null and void.
If you live in another country, then I can't say if it's legal or illegal.
@PreferNot2Say not state. UK. guns are illegal to own unless you are a cop on duty.
@staximus
okay?
That sucks. Revolution time. Anytime your government doesn't want you to have guns is exactly why you should have guns.
@PreferNot2Say i don't know. my kids can go to school safely whereas you can't. ironically, gun use may be a problem. but you're too busy banging on about government control instead of caring for people's lives.
you keep your barbaric ways of murdering your kids whilst being against abortions...
And so we see the impact of cultural differences, my answer is no lol
@julie4. What, you would prefer a Glock instead?
@julie4. An H&K?
@staximus. And let's not forget the places with the most mass gun violence are the liberal run cities.
No, I would be repulsed and offended.
Nikki is cool. Some women are repulsed by guns. And some don't like them in the house or see you with one. So he's giving a weapon as a gift to his woman. Not every woman is GI Jane. However, they won't mind if we protect the house, our kids, our lives, if the shit hits the fan.
Sure but I don't like the pink
I would go with something besides a 2 shot Derringer.
My wife loves her Sig 380.
Already have a Derringer, but thanks.
is it the "philly" one? or different
If it wasn’t pink, then yes
I had one. If it is a.38 the chamber can be extended to allow a.357 magnum.
I’d wet my panties
No I just wet my panties. So where would you carry? Belt strap on the thigh? Ankle? Purse?
I'd want a real gun. That's a sissy gun.
@staximus. She would fire that derringer ONCE and never want to touch it again.
@KrakenAttackin t's a last resort weapon for emergency situations, not made for recreational shooting. 357 has the highest 1 shot kill ratio of any handgun caliber.
I would like a Glock, please.
Damn. Wonder how you handle an Eagle? You can't handle the recoil! :)
@staximus. Agreed, I carry a.357 magnum most days.
@staximus. My normal carry is a S&W 627 except when I need more concealment.
double barrel?
Get her a Glock instead.
A derringer is not a certain controllable weapon, at all. There are TONS of micro holster options and sub compact pistols to fit them. I have carried a pistol for 30+ years.
Which Glock? I had to pull out the smallest Glock, actually, the little box thing it came in... it says G43 (Glock 43), then right next to it, is what sort of made me agree with @Staximus...5.5LB. ... I don't know, I think the derringer is probably what I'd throw in my pocket to go run errands. I don't want to be walking around with 5.5lbs pulling down my pants. It only holds 6 rounds, but I'm sure that weighs something too. I think I have the smallest Glock... but I could be wrong.
I carried a Glock for a couple years at work and it sucks ass. I think the best self defense gun is a small double action revolver (all you have to do is pull the trigger and it's a lot safer than carrying a Glock with one in the chamber) but they don't disappear in your pocket like this thing. My roommate has the larger version of this gun and it fires 45 long Colt or 410 shotgun shells, and it still disappears in your pocket.
Plus Glock was designed as a military sidearm, not as a personal defense \ carry gun. It was not designed to have one in the chamber unless you're in the battle zone. 4 cops from the city police dept here have shot themselves in the leg with Glocks. Unless you train religiously and have the best trigger finger discipline, a Glock is not a good personal defense option. Yes it's reliable but that's it. A double action revolver or "double action only" slide gun where the trigger pulls back the striker is the best option when you're scrambling for that gun in an emergency.
No, I am 54 not 44. I carried as a police officer for many years and now as just a regular Joe.
@staximus If you aren't going to be proficient in the firearm you carry why bother having it on you? No good learning to shoot with a threat in front of you and shaking hands. It doesn't matter your gender or the gun what matters is what gun you are most confident in.
@dustybiker2 Excellent point. Proficiency and shot placement is key. Also, you have to get a comfortable carry holster otherwise you won't carry.
@staximus. I carried the Glock 21 as a police officer and it was a great weapon. I had/have a Glock 23 as a concealed carry pistol. This is a good pistol but the recoil is kinda of snarling/twisting and isn't much fun to shoot.
I wouldn't because I don't like guns.
but steven segal character and i also "hate guns" but we still hav them and use them. reference under siege
That is a uniquely shitty-looking gun.
Nope
A.22? Man get her a.45 6 shooter. Lol.
I know a.357 Magnum, that looks like a 22, best a.32. Unless I have beer goggles on
It is! I got a better look, sober. Derringer
Probably not…
No way.
Nope
Gun crazy Americans
