Wanting space yet reaching out?

My boyfriend wanted a little space because of family drama and I respected that and left him alone. He has reached out randomly once a day almost everyday to ask me about my day, and things that are super important to me- and I have kept it brief and answered him because I don't want to bombard him. Obviously I really care about him and don't want to lose the relationship, but I am going back and forth mentally because I am scared what if he might be letting me down. Any advice would help.

Oh sis, I can understand why you're feeling confused right now. On the one hand, it's nice that he's still checking in with you every day even though he asked for space. But it's also frustrating not knowing what exactly he needs or where things stand.

A few thoughts - don't assume the worst yet. It seems like he wants to stay connected, just maybe not 100% available right away since he's dealing with family drama. Keep being supportive when he reaches out, but let him lead the convos and don't push for more until his personal stuff settles down.

At the same time, you need to look out for yourself too. Let him know gently that while you're here for him, the back-and-forth is creating uncertainty for you. Perhaps suggest setting like a weekly check-in time so you both have clear expectations.

Have faith - relationships take work, and right now he's working through something. As long as he's still making effort to be there for you too, I don't think he's planning to let you down. With good communication, you'll get through this ok. Just take things one day at a time for now sis. You've got this!

I don't know he misses u ig. but i would ask him directly what does he want. beacuse in my opinion if he said he needs space u should go no contact
