Is your partner wanting space the beginning of the end?

My boyfriend asked for space, said it isn’t personal and he cares and can’t say that he doesn’t want me, yet he needs to sort himself out cause he’s lost atm. He still contacts me all the time though.

Wanting space is the end in my book, because why do I have to hang in limbo while he explores his bachelor life? It’s crazy to talk to him often and still give him girlfriend benefits yet he can do what he wants as a single man, whether you’re aware of it or not. My view is “pick a lane”, you’re either with me or you’re not and there’s no straddling the fence when it comes to my heart.

Hard to say. It very well could be. He might be using the space to re-evaluate the relationship. Then again, some people just need more space than others do within the relationship. Either way, all you can do is give it to him and hope for the best.

Not necessarily. If he needs space because he feels lost then he probably really needs it to sort himself out and he still contacts you everyday so that means he still really does care. Just let him breathe. He'll come back around.

My husband never asked me for such thing. I've seen other men doing it and when someone asks for space is rarely a good sign.

it could go either way. what you do need to know if you did anything to cause this (for real) or how to make your relationship better if he does return.
