Also there are often times when people are not playing hard to get, they are simply not interested and that should be respected.

I guess its in a woman's nature to have the guy chase them, but today, that game is dangerous for a man to play. At any time, the girl can pull the plug on playing cat and mouse and the guy gets accused of harassment.

It lets you know the other person is interested in you and not just sex or at least it gets rid of those who expect sex on a plate. Both guys and girls do this, sometimes for slightly different reasons.

I hate it when people try to use psychological tricks. Like, "How long should I wait before texting after a date?" and shit like that. How 'bout doing what you feel instead of second guessing?

I met my wife through a pre-internet dating organization. We met at a restaurant and really connected. I had a few more dates lined up and was planning to check them out. But she called me two days later, said someone had offered her two tickets to see the Rolling Stones and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and wondered if I was interested in going.
Sure I was interested!
And the thing is, she knew I was a rocker but she wasn't into that kind of music.

We went to the concert, had a great time, and started dating exclusively. I blew off the other potential dates.

I admired her courage and initiative in calling me back right away. She went after what she wanted.

I think that's the best way to act.
