Met this man online - childless, single, elder to me.

We've been talking for sometime and it's consistent. I appreciate it. Whilst all that he says stuff like - why are you single, since when, what sort of a man I'd like?

And,

Somedays he also says he knows lots of people who would be a great match for me, how I should start dating and I'm a complete package.

Honestly, he mentions it too much.

It's too soon to ask him directly ( which I will soon) but I just want to get some insight.

He is probably attracted to you but fears that the interest will not be mutual. Suggest a meeting soon and explore the chemistry. If you feel it, give him a goodnight kiss at the end of the meeting, If not, maybe he can set you up with someone else. But, of course, remember to be considerate of his feelings.

I think the better question you need to ask yourself is why you need this guys attention so badly. But then ridicule his attempts to set you up. That's actually weirder.
