AGE DIFFERENCE?

hello, i am an 18 year old female who recently got confessed to by a 15 year old male. I care about him a lot, he is very cute and makes me laugh like no other, but obviously what scares me is the Age, an 18 year old can’t date a 15 year old right? i’ve told him i’d think about it simply because i didn’t know what to say, i’d love to wait for him until he’s older, but i am not sure if that’s what he wants or if he’ll still like me after these years. I simply don’t know what to do and i don’t want to lose him. He repeated me many times that he doesn’t care about age at all. i think he is too young to say that, but he sounded determined. I am here to ask.. What would you do in my situation?

The people saying too young clearly don't know when puberty hits. 15 to 18 is fine and the older you guys get the less it will matter. If I say 27 and 30, no one gives a fuck. If I say 18 and 21 no one gives a fuck. Societal norms are stupid and for the sheep.

People were off getting married and having kids at the age of 15 and sometimes even younger in the past. This is the only generation that considers that age too young and that's mostly due to the economy and people thinking teens are too dumb to make their own decisions in life. To an extent, some are, but it definitely doesn't apply to all. It's not like every adult in the world is the brightest out there.

I would let him down gently with, “I’m super flattered… I didn’t want to hurt your feelings, just that I’m too old for you I’m sure you get that right? Sorry for this, you’ll meet a better girl than me who will treat you right and do everything you’ve ever wanted and make you feel like the luckiest guy in the world however that woman isn’t me.” Or something like that.
