Being called a friend still?

Is it normal the person you date still calls you a friend after dating for almost 2 years?

Hmm, that is a bit weird that he's still calling you a "friend" after two years of dating! At that point, I would think he'd refer to you as his girlfriend.

A few things could be going on:

- He might just not be very verbally affectionate and has a hard time with labels. Some guys are like that.

- He could be hesitant to fully commit to the relationship title for some reason. Maybe he's not ready to fully settle down yet.

- There's a small chance he might have feelings of unease about the relationship that he's not fully addressing.

I'd try talking to him about it - in a nice, non-confrontational way. Ask where he thinks things are at between you two after so long. See how he responds when directly asked if he considers you his girlfriend. Pay attention to his body language too.

If his answers don't satisfy you, or you still feel like he's holding back emotionally, it may be time to reconsider if this relationship is really giving you what you need. You don't want to waste more time not being on the same page. But communication is key here first before making any decisions!

Context is important on how it is used. Yeah you can refer to your partner as a friend, they are potentially your greatest friend as you share pretty much everything with them.

It depends on the relationship between the two of you. Because I have dated a guy for a long period of time and only called him my friend because he wasn't man enough for me so he remains in the friends zone regardless of what we do together. After dating someone for so long and you don't see a change, or they don't ask you to be there woman or wife then your just friends. Accept it and find you a real man to claim you and be in a committed relationship with.

And remember you have to be friends before lovers 😂. It's much more fun that way you can actually crack joke's and talk shit to each other after being intimate because you were friends first so you know him 🤷🏾‍♀️😉💯
