Does the situation matter?
I’m a guy and even I know it’s a fucking pain for most girls. For those guys that have girls as friends (or sisters) they will know how much this is fairly well hated. I’m guessing but based on chats with friends 98% of all approaches are really crap and zero pre flirting etc. There is usually a difference between talking with someone and hitting on them. Then there is the entire ‘they do not even speak good English’ stuff, my brother and me had to have a private word with some fuckwits that were trying to hit on our sister and his wife.
A typical night at the pub with friends has everyone taking turns to get the drinks in, if a guy goes up, he gets served and is back fairly quickly, if one of the girls goes up she has to deal with half a dozen attempts at hitting on them just getting drinks in. Then for serving staff, bar staff (girls) it’s a part of the bollox they put up with.
just a blokes perspective.
It's all about context. The situation. I've been approached at the grocery store, the gym, other stores, when I was in college on campus, at parties, the bar, the club.
I've been approached in many places. It's all about what I'm doing and how thd person approaches. If it's short and sweet to the point then I'm ok with it. If I say thank you but I'm not interested or I'm not looking to date right now, take the hint and be respectful. Don't keep trying, no means no. Also don't pitch a fit if you get rejected. You don't have to be cordial at all, you can just walk away but don't cause a scene, don't call a woman a stuck up dlut or whore or bitch because you got rejected. Emotional maturity is required.
Aside from that just be a normal respectful person and I don't mind anyone like that approaching.
Than you 😘
*Thank
Obviously it depends who’s doing it. The one or two times in my life that a guy publicly showed his attention and appreciation (and I welcomed it) were great. Attention from other guys can be either embarrassing or creepy.

It depends on the woman and the situation. I did not like being hit on in any situation when I was single but plenty of women are okay or like it. Make sure to look for hints she’s uncomfortable
Nope not at all. I think a lot of young women these days are so offended / obsessed with themselves they think it’s a threat. Not to discredit actual threatening encounters tho.
If a guy is hot women like it. If he is not hot, it is sexual harassment.
I’m not sure but as long as it’s not creepy I suppose it’s ok
It's not that single women or girls are desperate to want male attention all the time. They enjoy it a functions or college maybe
I don't mind. Just do it respectfully.
I don’t mind at all unless I’m clearly busy
