Is it bad that I am hesitant when it comes to dating/hooking up?

My guy friend thinks that I am a scary person who is afraid to do things while there are girls who say fuck it and just do it. I’ll try my best to explain…What I mean is that I might like a guy and want to either date or sleep with him but unsure about doing it while there are other girls who don’t even think about it and just do it without regrets. I’m only like this because I’ve dated and hooked up with guys in the past but looking back at it disgusted.
