Is it just me, or does communication feel like this?

Reading through the endless "Does he like me because he liked my snap?"/"Does he like me because he is following me?"/"Why hasn't she blocked me... does it mean she likes me?" type questions I have to step back and wonder... is it just me or does it all sound completely ridiculous? What happened to sending a couple of messages and then calling the person up and setting up... A DATE? Why all the dawdling and stalling? My goodness...

It's not you, online communication has given people an easy way to hide from real face to face communication. It gives the illusion of the grass is greener. To sum it up I like to call the whole mess "miles wide and inches deep".

Also, online communication is to blame for this stupid 'talking phase' trend, which is another way to have an easy 'out'.

I blame social media. Everyone is freaking on it. Like no one actually takes the time to have a heart to heart conversation anymore. 😭

The one that gets me is the text BEFORE the call to ask if you're ok for a call that was scheduled. (Very complicated etiquette. I almost ALWAYS miss the text.)

Technology is largely useless in finding mates, especially with deep fakes coming more prevalent. Even with a video call you won't know if the person you are talking to is real or not so yeah..
