Girls, How are Guys expected to Approach a Girl they like if Girls usually find it creepy or weird, Especially in Public?

Ok, so a few basics here... "Like" is for someone you sort of know already, so it should be ok to approach someone you like or have exchanged at least a few thoughts with. If you're attracted to a stranger, though, it IS awkward to just go right up to them in a public setting. I'll give you three real-life examples, ok?

A girl is headed to class... she is chatting with her classmate who is with a guy. The guy is introduced... starts chatting the girl up... after that, whenever he sees her he chats her up... and things progress from there.

A guy sees a girl he finds attractive across a crowded networking event... he's a little awkward so he doesn't approach her. His friend who is also attracted to the same girl has no problem going up to the girl and inviting her to have a drink. Revved now by the fact that he technically saw the girl first, Guy1 horns in on this moment with Guy2... ignores the girl to ask Guy2 "when are we leaving?" which prompts Guy2 to make the awkward intro between Guy1 and the girl... It's now up to the girl to pic G1 or G2... G2 (cute, socially adept, courteous, polite-but-mildly-sarcastic humor) ultimately loses to G1 (cute, awkward, courteous, polite-but-mildly-sarcastic humor), who suddenly shows a spark of confidence and engages the girl more directly and asks for her number... then things progress from there.

A girl and guy are chatting online... the guy slips in a couple of flirty comments that the girl accepts and responds to... they exchange numbers... and things progress from there.

So really unless a guy is completely socially inept, there's a way to approach pretty much anyone. It just takes a little courage and confidence.

Also, FYI, the girl who sneers at everyone and rejects them before anyone can even say hi... is most likely low class, fronting and not at all worth your time. They do this either to raise their value OR because they've been so hurt in the past that they're just on the defensive all the time.
