He’s a married man ! Should I avoid this guy all together or should I lie?

I really like this man—he's pretty cute, has a great smile, and we have good chemistry when we talk. However, I found his Facebook and discovered that he's not only 20 years older than me, but also married with five kids. Despite this, I can't stop liking him. Maybe it's because I'm feeling desperate, I'm not sure. I'm considering lying and telling him that I have a boyfriend or fiancé to make him stop chatting with me, or perhaps I should just avoid him altogether. The chemistry is strong, but it's just so wrong.
