I texted him I was done (we dated for like 2.5 months) and then ghosted him it’s almost been two years now and I haven’t spoken to him since that day I told him I was done and never told him why I was done. I’m happily engaged now with a wonderful partner but I constantly wonder how bad i probably ducked him up.. what do you guys think?

Really depends... If he was fully committed to you then maybe. But honestly, how much of yourself can you sacrifice in 2.5 months. The people that get fucked up, like really fucked up by a woman just burning the shit out of him, are guys that made sacrifices and they were not returned the gesture or even given a legitimate excuse, and in fact, probably just got taken advantage of.

Like for me... it's that one woman who finally convinced me to be loyal and not cheat on a woman... then she cheated. I had so much pussy I passed up and could've had, and I sacrificed that for a bitch that wanted loyalty, but had no intention of giving it back.

That was years of sacrifice though...2.5 months of sacrificing that to find out she was just a slutty bitch demanding shit she wasn't willing to do in kind... would be a lot easier to just blow off as nothing.

Bottom line, you may of been a learning lesson for him, but not the kind that makes a guy wish she would get hit by a bus and survive long enough to feel the most pain. A learning lesson maybe yeah, but a severely painful learning lesson... I doubt it.

It’s unlikely you messed them up badly, but there sure is a possibility it left him with lingering questions and self-doubt. I think people deserve breakups in person and with some reasoning & explaining provided. People tend to have a harder time with uncertainty and if he was unsure what caused you to leave him that may have impacted his ability to move on and/or process the event properly.
