My boyfriend expressed how he truly felt after an argument.. I’m giving him space and still haven’t heard from him?

I had an argument with my boyfriend over something so petty and saw that he has been talking to this new girl so I guess out of anger and being approached he reveals I don’t give him time to miss me and he spends too much time with me and wants space to rest, play his music, etc. I totally understood and told him I’ll give him space for sure because this is the first time in our year relationship that he’s expressed this to me. So I left his apartment and while I was leaving he was telling me to stay which I feel isn’t a way of giving him space. He told me he still wants this relationship. I got home he reached out and called but I did not pick up because I was asleep but I’m still upset about him potentially cheating texting another woman and plus I want to give him his space to figure things out. It’s been 3 days and I haven’t heard from him since and I still want to give him space but he’s never gone this long without saying anything so I’m guessing shit is over?
