It's my bday and the guy I like hasn't texted me, should I drop him?

We've hung out 4 times, but each time for days at a time since we live in different cities and have a really intense/great connection, and he acts like he really likes me, I think we could fall for each other if we keep it up. I'm visiting family and he did say a few times he hopes I have fun with family and a good bday, but hasn't texted me on the actual day which I admit makes me kind of sad - I just wanted to hear from him honestly. I also remember his, and don't know if this is a dealbreaker because everyone else has messaged me, even my ex!

You're LDR and only hung out 4 times... so it's possible he doesn't think you've known one another long enough for bday greetings.

My man didn't send Mother's Day greetings to me, for example, though I was courteous enough to send Father's Day greetings to him bc that's how I was raised... I can make a million excuses for the distinction, but it just boils down to how the guy thinks he should be towards you given how much time you've known one another. (Some guys get REALLY weird about this sort of thing... and adding the LDR factor doesn't help anything either.)

Guys don't always think in the same patterns as girls -- hence the reason this entire website exists at all...

The next time you hear from him, mention that you were disappointed in this lack of a bday wish, this way he knows what bothers you and what makes you happy.

It is strange honestly. I believe if he was truly interested, he wouldn't forget to wish you happy birthday on your actual birthday. That's just me though. I wouldn't necessarily drop him, but just openly communicate with him. "Hey where's my happy birthday? 😔" If he responds as he should, then he's likely into you, but got lost in thought or thought his wishes yesterday were enough and assumed you were with family.

Since you can't let go of your past and have stayed friends with, what I'm guessing as you've done, with several of your ex's, you really don't get to have any expectations of him whatsoever.
