I was talking to my situationship’s room mate for months without knowing and now situationship is mad when he found out?

So I really like this guy but he has made it clear that he doesn’t like me back. But we are really great friends and we did date a bit but didn’t happen cause he didn’t like me back. But we do flirt and he does show signs of liking me. Anywho , rejection is a rejection so I was talking to this guy online for a month and things were going the right way until something happened and we stopped talking. My situationship and I are good friends and today he posted a picture of us together where the online guy texted him asking him who I was and telling him that we had chatted for a month. My situationship tells me that they were college room mates (I didn’t know!!) and now he is annoyed and pissed and wouldn’t talk to me. Did I lose my friend? I haven’t talked to online guy for months! But I understand that the girl you dated dating your room mate is weird but you rejected her and secondly , SHE didn't KNOW! Otherwise she wouldn’t have talked to him either !
