Have you felt drawn to someone just for a summer fling? If so, did you feel it might last past the summer?

Those of you who go away during the summer months and have summer crushes, etc... have you ever felt like taking things a step further and starting a fling with that person? If so... did you presume it would end when the summer ended or did you hope it would hold up through the fall season (or longer)?

There were 2 occasions, and neither was an intended "fling." I'd just rather not call a 2 week relationship a relationship. One was a dark story of the girl turning out to be a legit psychopath. The other one was an angel, but just wasn't compatible with me.

I've always considered myself a 1 girl kinda guy. Just haven't found the one yet 😅

@Dongie I know you're always so down on yourself, but I really do believe that if you consistently put more of a positive vibe into your life... I'm pretty sure you'd find the lady for you. The people you find when you're in sarcastic mode will reflect the mood you're putting out there in the world... P. S.: @HawkPerception is right... It's never too late.

I'll be 62 next month. I've earned all the rights needed for smart-ass, sarcastic and anger. I'm not always this way. I have a cycle that was constructed being 41 years ago. It goes round and round. I've been fired many times because of it. I'm certain blowed it with a few ladies. But pyschiatrist and meds couldn't help, prayer hasn't. So I just live day to day. Hell my best friend is only into girls now. She loves me, but as a friend.

@Dongie I know it sounds like crap coming from someone who hasn't had your experiences in life and hasn't lived as long as you, but there is that cliché saying "you attract the energy you give off." Trust me when I say I'm telling myself that as much as I'm telling you. There are dark days when you feel like no one is out there for you, but as long as you aren't afraid to look in the mirror and change to be that person you know you can be that will attract other's, it'll happen. I know it's easier said than done, but I promise it's possible.

And today is one of those. But I'm not goidlooking and young. If I looked like you or my nephews son, I'd be beating them off with a stick. I looked alright in my 20s and 30s, but wrecks, botched nose procedure along with age has not done positive things for my face. So hell it has to be done. I don't want no ugly woman so that's it. I'll be fine, just have to raise hell about it all. That's what I do.

Only when I was a teen and seeing another lifeguard. I thought it would only be the summer period and turns-out I did not want it to end. We got along so well but she lived in another city and was just up for the summer staying in her cottage.

I really look down on people who play with each other's emotions and have casual relationships for just a season like they are changing fashion. That's disgusting.

I think summer crushes are kind of standard, it's just a matter of whether the two people want to take it further as either a seasonal romance or something more. (It's not necessarily sexual if that helps.)

Frankly I think this is more of a female thing because you women can pick and choose between buckets and bucket loads of partners so you can afford to be casual about it for a while.

Well perhaps I am biased because I do make friends with promiscuous women regardless if they throw themselves at me or not. I make friends with all kinds of strange people.

Women who really know how to work men can have dozens of men available pretty quickly and they can arrange things like multiple men on one woman quickly as well. I said that as cleanly as I could.
