No, it's hard to date -- and it's also why folks are single by choice -- because too many people lie on their media and profiles, too many people lie about their intentions, and there's no REAL way to ensure that the person you're encountering (or thinking of encountering) is at all the person they're telling you they are bc you're learning about them in a vacuum. For all you know, you're talking to a predator who does and says the same thing to multiple people across every dating/chat site because they have the leisurely time to do so.

I don’t know, because I’m one of those people you talk about who stays single by choice and have been single for years. I don’t date or even talk to guys that way. I’m done with that. Dating has turned into some sort of sick game where people lie, cheat and manipulate and everyone’s replaceable. I’m not doing that. I want something genuine or nothing at all so nothing it is.

No. It's the state of feminism and social media in society right now. Women's standards are unrealistically high and the vast majority of them do not seem to bring anything to the table (ex. "I don't cook. You have to pay for the date. He should always take the lead in planning dates and our future together." etc.)

I think more *women* are single by choice, resulting in the skyrocketing rate of virginity/celibacy among men, which I don't necessarily view as a bad thing.

No, I think we just have a problem with declining quality on all sides, coupled with a more accepting attitude towards casual sex, fwbs and situationships.
