Divorce rates are climbing , relationships are ending left and right , most single girls and guys’ ’ I meet say they choose to be single and no longer want a relationship , some say the y never been in a relationship and prefer it that way? People are cheating on each other left and right , What happened to this society? Casual sex is like the number 1 thing it seems these days. Almost everyone of my friends is divorced or going through a divorce , or breaking up with their partners’ My wife and I are No longer together even though we tried making it work , we both agreed it isn’t going to work because we no longer see eye to eye on things , we are still living together , but not together , My wife is just a room mate to me now , we still care about each other but we are just friends now it seems , telling me , she wants to be single and live her life that she doesn’t want anyone else she just wants to be single , but she still wants to have sex with me on occasion? . What is happening to this society? , I do blame social media for a lot of it , for warping peoples’ minds into believing in nonsense and that grass is greener on the other side , I told my wife I want to experience true love , so don’t be surprised when another girl is on my arms , she claims she doesn’t care , she said she wants me to be happy and knows that’s what I want , but then part of Me thinks do I really want another girl in my arms if this is how society is today? It’s sadly hard for. me to trust , I have so many walls protecting my heart from getting shit on again and again. Am I better off just staying single and having casual sex with girls and forget about love all together? It’s not like I haven’t been single before , but am I dumb to think true love actually exists these days?

Very few women want to be single. It is just that they can't attract the guys they want. A higher percentage of men don't want to be married. Partly because the laws and family courts are extremely biased against men. Others, because they have been rejected by young women so often that they just drop out and refuse even attempt to interact with women.

You shouldn’t have children outside of a relationship. Without two parents children do worse. Why buy a house if you aren’t going to have a family? Children are an 18 year investment and a mortgage is 30… so few marriages last 18 years much less 30.

If we continue like this people are going to grow apathetic to the suffering of others and you give up the possibility of having children and family that cares for you when you’re old and you can't even remember who you are. The only argument I’ve seen that comes close to justifying trying at this point. Otherwise fuck women and fuck relationships.

It is very simple, I dont want to put more effort than the other person. I don't want to end up carrying the entire thing, thinking for two and the other person can't even meet me halfway. People prefer it when things are done effortlessly. I won't put the whole effort anymore.

My theory is the modern world is full of independent individuals. Back then women didn't have career goals for themselves, men didn't know they had to provide for eight people when married etc etc. Gender expectations has been rapidly decreasing imho

Women want to be with a solid man. Like my father is. He is not perfect but he is honest, has honor and brave enough stand up for people who cannot stand up for themselves.

Sadly there are few of them. Sure I come across men who hold open the door, pull out the chair, et al. But that is a far cry from someone who is willing to standup to others even when they have nothing to gain and some to lose.
I observe in today’s society that the men I encounter are all talk and little to no commitment. There are some who try to be like that but eventually they give in to the easy way out. Unfortunately they are rare.

Cuz its HARD to gave married people goals like kids n house in this usa dystopia waiting for selfish boomers to die and inherit ability to pay off student loans in your 40s and still not be able to afford kids and house cuz your wages flatlined for 2 decades and then you can look forward to a future of outliving your savings cuz you font have any and will never retire. My brother was married for 7 years and his wife last year filled for divorce. Now his ex wife is single and able to do whatever she wants. She probably just didn't want to be tied down to raising two daughters. Relationships definitely take a lot of work, no marriage is perfect like in Hollywood movies. My brother has met another girl who he recently married and has three children so hopefully the third time is the charm.
