Why do so many women prefer being single?

I see so many women by themselves so much in these recent years. Aren’t they lonely? Coming from a guy who’s been single for 5 years now, I can’t imagine why some beautiful women prefer being alone? It’s cool for a minute because you can spend your money on whatever you want, but it gets Lonely when your friends are with their significant other, and you’re by yourself. Coming home to an empty place all the time. I avoid going to stores or restaurants because I hate having to realize I’m by myself. I’m just single because I need to work on myself. I believe I need to be put myself together first before I try to make any woman happy.

There are two reasons I stay single

/ One is that some of who chase me are selfish and morally unpleasant

/ Another is that a lot of the relationships guys try to get me in come at a price or a risk - like I won’t sleep with a guy I’m not married to so if he wants dates at each others houses, I will reject every opportunity I’m offered

/ The other is it takes time get to know somebody and a bad choice could abuse or kill you so if somebody I don’t know asks me out - it’s an automatic rejection until I figure out what type of person he is.

The first one is understandable. That’s why you have to keep looking. I know some hot women who like me, but I don’t like them back because of their personality. Personality and looks are 50/50 to me, so I don’t take less. The second is respectable, but kind of selfish because I believe sex is a very intimate experience that only makes your relationship stronger. At least to me it is. And the last one is kind of mean. How are you supposed to find the love of your life, if you close your walls? Just meet them in public at least for a first date. You’ll know then if you two click or not

I think they have the same philosophy as a lot of men in the same boat. At some point, you have to review past relationships for what they are worth and gauge whether your level of happiness is better when you are with or without someone.

If she has had some good luck (overall), and there were far more better days than bad days, it may be worth it to keep seeing people. If she is one of those people that has had a string of bad luck/partners, I can see bending towards the single life to work on their own level of happiness.

Thing about men vs women is they can get whatever attention/sex they want whenever they want, so even being single longterm they’re never lonely

I don't prefer being single. I would love to hug someone i love and fall asleep. I was so focused on my education. Now, i'm single, lonely, no boyfriend, nothing. Life is just so dull.

Do you think your overall happiness would have been different if you got married first and had your kids younger, then got your education and high power career later?
