Yes, thatβs if I were to count those. Sorry I should have specified. Iβve been with my current partner since I was 18 now. And this is my only serious relationship

Just because you dated a lot doesn't make anyone an ex per se.

Asker1 yThat's not bad for in your 40s tho

I've had only 1 long relationship... That was the last one and lasted 11 years (started when I was 29/ 30). The one before that was 9 years earlier, and only lasted a year (aged 20/21). The other 5 didn't last that long and were all before the age 19/ 20.
I became sexually active at the age of 17 which I think is a good age to become sexually active.
1 yWho counts that? I could give you a rough draft... but I'm bound to leave people out.

Asker1 yIt seems you took your relationships seriously, cause that sounds like a valid number for your age
Asker1 yAge and the amount of peoples relationships, do the failures in previous relationships play a part in why you consider yourself damaged?
Asker1 yI guess to the best way I can, I kinda want to get an idea. that would be cause being damaged can lead to flaws and flaws aren't necessarily a bad thing because when these flaws are embraced they only add to a person's traits and makes them more unique, although I do believe this process shouldn't be called damaged because I feel like it's more of a form of personal evolution and there's nothing broken about them, I think damaged would be when a person made personal changes that are harmful to themselves or others, so I guess it depends π€

I really like your perspective about flaws. But think about an object that is damaged.. it might have been dropped, kicked, stepped on, or hit against the wall, ultimately its broken.. and how do you think it got that way? It didn't do it to itself. That's what I mean by damaged. But it doesn't mean it doesn't still work or can't be rebuilt. I'm in the healing process, I'm not yet a Phoenix.
Asker1 yYea I see your point, I always believed that when we are dropped, kicked, stepped on or hit against a wall, we heal and self improve, but I guess now that you are breaking it down this way, that is a character thing and not everyone heals and improves, some break and become fragile but I'll just say some of the most valuable pieces in places like museums with high value are damaged or fragile, let that sink in missy. πβπ½π
- 1 y
That was another very good perspective with the valuable pieces. You're very insightful. Yes I agree not everyone heals and improves. But admitting your damaged or broken down can actually be empowering. I sort of wear it as badge of honor. I feel as if I'm becoming the real me, I got the chance to not have a choice but to rebuild what was broken. I'm actually quite in love with getting to know myself on a deeper level.
Asker1 yThanks π
Being damaged are basically emotional battle scars but I always like to believe that if something helps or improves your life, it's more of a fix than damage but that all depends on perspective and of course... the situations and the effects from those situations, I'm glad to see you are embracing yourself and you flex your scars, your confidence and embracement only adds to your beauty, being brand new is overrated π
Asker1 yYea things that will take long to heal and some that will be a part of me forever but i dont see it as damage, it all plays a part on who i am today because some benefits have grown from it all and i used it to make me stronger and i even gained knowledge from it that only helps me be better, you are a cool chick tho, it was quite refreshing to have a proper conversation on this site that is standing on one leg ha
Asker1 yThanks I get that a lot and I'm glad you've got a positive outcome from your situations as well and thanks for sharing ππ―
