Why did I attract nerdy guys instead of metalhead guys in high school?

I wore all black and band shirts but attracted nerds. Why didn’t I attract metalhead guys if I was their type? Why do they always choose the non metal girl? Was it because I was quiet? Was it because I wore all black and band shirts?

it's not all about the looks... that's why

my high-school girlfriend was into similar music taste to mine... many of my friends as well

but the rest of my girlfriends were not into that much into metal... whether or not they liked metal made no substantial difference to me... other more substantial things were of greater importance, for sure sure

personality is definitely the most important in my case, yes...

for example, one of my best friends, from college... was full goth at the time and the sort, so initially... I was interested on her, and so was she... we even had matching personalities, affinity and all that too... but for some reason, we just didn't "click" in a romantic way, so we didn't even try lol

even when we had a lot of things "to make it work" we were just friends

and I ended up being boyfriend to her best friend, and now she and I... were definitely a match for sure but not in the "looks department"

Does it matter? You're in your twenties now. High school is over, and YOU NEVER HAVE TO GO BACK.

Metalheads don't date metalheads... I learned that the hard way.

You obviously don't know many metalheads. All my metalhead friends are dating or are married to other metal fans. My hubby is a huge metal fan just like me.

@Nikki1989 Yeah prob. Anytime I date a metalhead like myself it doesn't work out. We never agree on bands and it just doesn't work out.
